Loyal Dog Culture Festival

Created on the basis of the folklore of a dog dying in return for the kindness of the owner, the Loyal Dog Culture Festival is the unique festival paying respect to the loyal dog. To consolidate its global reputation as a noted distract with loyal dogs and enhance the unity of residents, the festival is held every April and May since 1982.

The festival provides the opportunity for pets and there owners to communicate with each other in order to make a desirable pet culture and inherit the spirit of the “Dog of Osu”, the symbol of Imsil culture, on the basis of the folkloreof the dog dying in return for kindness.
