Pilbong Nongak, in the west region in Jeolla-do is Important Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 11-5 designated by the Korean government. It’s the representative exorcism by farmers bands in the western region of Jeolla-do. As a unique tradition, the exorcism for village guardians is performed during the full moon in January and is widely known.
Pilbong Nongak Training Center at the bottom of Pilbongsan Mountain, which looks like a brush, is the school to experience the traditional culture, with lots of things to enjoy and a wide range of experience programs, including farmers band music, folk songs, natural dyeing, and Korean classical music performances.
